Airport Hotel Hanoi Convenient & Friendly

The room was spacious. The location was not easy to find. Took two taxi drivers but still ended up with the wrong hotel.

I had a super early flight so decided to stay close to the airport on my final day - this place was great for that purpose. The staff was friendly and helpful. He set everything up for my 5 am car pick up to the airport. The room was spacious and clean. There was a lot of noise coming from outside so if you are light sleeper like me, you may have some issues with sleeping - music, cars, chickens, etc. It's a good place to stay if you need to be close to the airport but wouldn't recommend it as your main stay during your trip - not a lot going on in the surrounding area.

I arranged an airport pick up with the hotel, which they confirmed but they did not show up. Called the hotel and needed a helpful local at the airport to translate. Hotel said "get a taxi". Wasted 90 minutes

It's like the owner's children are playing games at the reception, the owner's family lives on the 2nd floor, and you stay on the 3rd floor. Is the Japanese conversion function on the site not good? I thought the transfer between airport and hotel was free, but the pick-up was charged and the drop-off was free. I am not used to being abroad, so it may be cultural differences, but the area around the hotel was also a bit unsafe, which is worrisome for walking around with my high school student son.

It is a very small hotel near the airport. Good for people who are looking for a night stay outside the airport to catch a flight the next day.

We asked several times about breakfast, and it was confirmed both in writing and oral, but when we got up in the morning before the flight nobody was up and no breakfast! And no excuse or trying to fix it.

Friendly service. Close to the airport with shuttle service makes it perfect for overnight transfers.

The taxi driver could not find the place based on the hotel name and address. We reached a hotel with the exact same name, but they said they are not the one (and it didn't look like it). After spending a lot of time in the middle of the night, I took another hotel.

The property has changed names and was very difficult to find - even for a native taxi driver who also spoke English. Mr. Henry had offered to pick us up at the airport, but then wanted us to call him when we arrived. But we didn't have a local SIM card, there weren't any local businesses to help us call (from domestic arrivals), and my computer could not connect to the airport free Wi-Fi. However, Mr Henry was otherwise friendly. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

I would second the assessment of other reviewers that (Mr.) Henry is a great asset to the company. The hotel was quiet, had a lift, plenty of hot running water and free transfer to airport. However, it wasn't the hotel I booked. I had tried to look on my phone at the map directions to the hotel but got a message saying that the location could not be found. When I arrived at Hanoi airport, I tried again. Same result. The driver had the same issue. He drove around for some time, but there are many small airport hotels on side roads and our search was unsuccessful. He rang the number,and eventually got directions which took us to Viet Village Hotel where a pleasant young man who identified himself as Henry came out to meet me and confirmed the reservation. During booking, I had read that 'Airport Hotel Hanoi Convenient and Friendly' did go under other names and thought there must have been a name change since they advertised the property, not that it was a totally different place. There were not many places around Viet Village to get food and after I'd taken a shower and returned to reception, there seemed to be no one around. The next morning in the taxi on the way to the airport I saw, on the right, 'Airport Hotel Hanoi, Convenient and Friendly'. I can only assume they advertise one hotel and then allocate bookings among a number that Henry speeds between. Though I did get somewhere to sleep, it was confusing and a little disconcerting.
